Privacy Policy

This is the part where I tell you what data we collect and what we do with it. I’ll keep it readable.
Who We Are
Disc Golf Mentor is operated by Jake Mercer as a sole proprietorship based in Tigard, Oregon. When I say “we” in this policy, I mostly mean “me” \u2014 I’m a one-person operation.

What Data We Collect
Contact form submissions: If you fill out the contact form, I get your name, email, and message. I use this to respond to you. I don’t add you to any email lists unless you specifically ask.
Coaching clients: If you purchase coaching services, I collect payment information through the payment processor (Stripe), plus whatever information you share during our sessions. I keep notes to track your progress. I don’t share this with anyone.
Analytics: I use Google Analytics to see how many people visit the site and what content they read. This collects anonymized data about your visit \u2014 pages viewed, time on site, general location (country/state level). I can’t personally identify you from this data.
Cookies: The site uses cookies for analytics and basic functionality. Your browser can block these if you prefer.

Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click through and buy something, I might earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. These are clearly marked when possible.
I only recommend products I’ve personally used and actually like. The affiliate relationship doesn’t change my opinion \u2014 I’ve turned down affiliate deals for products I don’t believe in.
Third-Party Services
Services that may process your data:
- Google Analytics \u2014 website analytics
- Stripe \u2014 payment processing for coaching
- Calendly \u2014 appointment scheduling
- YouTube \u2014 embedded videos (if you watch them, YouTube’s privacy policy applies)
Each of these has their own privacy policy. I’ve chosen services with reasonable privacy practices, but you should review their policies if you’re concerned.
I don’t currently run an email newsletter. If I start one in the future, it’ll be opt-in only and easy to unsubscribe from.
Your Rights
You can request to see what data I have about you, ask me to delete it, or ask me to correct inaccurate information. Just contact me through the contact form or email.
If you’re in the EU, you have additional rights under GDPR. If you’re in California, you have additional rights under CCPA. I’ll honor reasonable requests regardless of where you’re located.
Data Security
I use reasonable security measures to protect your data \u2014 SSL encryption, secure passwords, limited access. But no system is perfectly secure. I do my best.
Children
This site isn’t directed at children under 13. I don’t knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, contact me and I’ll delete it.
Changes to This Policy
If I make significant changes, I’ll update the “last updated” date at the top. For major changes, I might post a notice on the site. Continued use after changes means you accept the new policy.
